What this service does

UK Fuel Price Checker is a free tool that shows live petrol, diesel, and EV charging prices near a UK postcode you enter. It does not require an account or any personal information to use.

Data we collect

We collect minimal anonymous usage data to understand how the service is used:

• Page views and navigation events via Vercel Analytics. This is privacy-friendly analytics that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sessions or sites.
• Postcode lookups — when you search, your postcode is sent to postcodes.io to resolve it to a latitude and longitude. We do not store or log postcodes.

Geolocation

If you use the “Use my location” button, your device's GPS coordinates are requested by your browser. These are used only to find your nearest postcode and are never sent to our servers or stored.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies. Your browser may store cached responses for performance, but no identifying information is stored.

Data sources

Fuel price data is sourced from publicly available feeds published by UK fuel retailers including Tesco, Asda, BP, Shell, and others, as required under the UK Government's fuel price transparency initiative. EV charger data is provided by Open Charge Map. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap contributors.
